Dental implants and full-arch restoration by board-certified periodontists.
From single tooth replacement to full-arch solutions, our surgical team provides the implant placement, bone grafting, and tissue reconstruction that makes durable restorations possible.
Implants are a surgical procedure. The surgeon matters.
Dental implants rely entirely on the health of the surrounding gum and bone. Periodontists are the only dental specialists with residency training that covers both the surgical placement of implants and the management of the tissue and bone that determine whether they last.
Drs. Engen and Pizzini are among only a few board-certified periodontists in the Inland Northwest. In complex cases (patients with bone loss, active gum disease, or compromised tissue from prior extractions), a board-certified periodontist's training is not a luxury; it is the standard of care.
Your restorative dentist handles the crown or prosthesis. We handle the surgical foundation, and we communicate directly with your restorative team throughout the process.
Specialty surgical training
Three additional years of specialty training beyond dental school, focused on gum, bone, and implant surgery, not a weekend course.
Bone & tissue management
If grafting, sinus lifts, or ridge augmentation are needed before implant placement, we perform all of it in one practice.
Board certification
Both doctors hold board certification from the American Board of Periodontology, a voluntary credential that only a small percentage of periodontists pursue.
One tooth or an entire arch: we do both.
Every implant case is planned and placed by a board-certified periodontist, with the bone and tissue work built in.
Single Tooth Implant
A titanium post replaces the root of a single missing tooth, topped with a custom crown from your restorative dentist. The result looks, functions, and is cared for like a natural tooth.
Multiple Tooth Implants
Strategically placed implants support an implant-supported bridge, replacing several missing teeth without compromising healthy adjacent teeth.
Immediate Implant Placement
When conditions allow, an implant is placed at the same appointment as a tooth extraction, reducing the total treatment timeline and preserving bone volume.
All-on-4 / RevitaliZe
Four strategically angled implants support a full-arch fixed prosthesis. Often delivered the same day as placement, a life-changing solution for patients with failing dentition.
Teeth-in-an-Hour
A computer-guided protocol that allows implant placement and a temporary prosthesis to be delivered in a single visit, using pre-fabricated surgical guides for precision.
Implant-Supported Dentures
Removable or fixed full-arch dentures that snap onto implants for stability, eliminating the movement and discomfort of traditional dentures.
Mini Implants
Smaller-diameter implants used in situations where bone volume is limited or for stabilizing lower dentures when conventional implants are not indicated.
Implant Planning & Consultation
A full evaluation including imaging and medical history review to determine the right implant approach and timeline for your specific anatomy and goals.
Building the foundation before the implant goes in.
Many patients who need implants have already lost some of the bone that supported the missing tooth. Without adequate bone height and width, an implant cannot integrate. Bone grafting rebuilds that foundation.
All grafting and site-preparation procedures are performed in our office; no need to see a separate surgeon or hospital visit for most cases.

- Socket preservation: placed at extraction to prevent bone collapse
- Ridge augmentation: rebuilds width and height for implant placement
- Block grafting: used for large-volume defects requiring more structural support
- Sinus lift (elevation): adds bone below the maxillary sinus for upper-arch implants
Your implant journey, step by step.
Consultation & imaging
We review your X-rays or CT scan, medical history, and goals. You receive a clear treatment plan with timeline and estimated fees before any procedure is scheduled.
Site preparation (if needed)
Bone grafting, socket preservation, or a sinus lift is completed and allowed to heal before implant placement, typically 3 to 6 months depending on the graft.
Implant placement
A titanium implant is placed under local anesthesia with sedation available. Most patients return to light work the next day.
Osseointegration
Over 3 to 6 months, the implant fuses with the jawbone. A follow-up confirms integration before your restorative dentist attaches the final crown or prosthesis.
Restoration & maintenance
Your restorative dentist completes the crown, bridge, or prosthesis. We provide implant maintenance instructions and coordinate ongoing care.

A consultation with one of our periodontists takes about an hour. We review your imaging, explain your options, and give you a treatment plan in plain language, with no pressure and no obligation.
